Home Run Archive
These are home runs that we worked on in the past:

Basking Ridge Little League
Gulf Coast support!
Throughout the spring and summer of 2006, Basking Ridge Little League collected new or gently used youth baseball and softball gloves, catcher's gear, bats, youth batting helmets, and baseballs to deliver to youth programs in the Gulf Coast. Under the leadership of Board member Rob Moldovan, they witnessed a generous response not only from members of Basking Ridge Little League, but also from members of other area leagues whose summer travel teams have participated in games at Basking Ridge Little League.

Philadelphia Phillies
Labor of Love
On Monday September 4, 2006, the Phillies and Major League Baseball's Baseball Tomorrow Fund conducted a tremendously successful equipment collection event to benefit Pitch In For Baseball. Each donor of the more than 2,000 pieces of equipment received a raffle ticket with winners receiving autographed items from Chase Utley, MVP Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, Mike Leiberthal or Jimmy Rollins.

Teaming up with Ace Hardware
Gathering Gloves
This August and September, participating Ace Hardware stores around the United States are collecting gloves and catcher's mitts to support the work of Pitch In For Baseball. We are delighted to have Ace Hardware on board as new corporate partner.

Worth Sports
Major Corporate Sponsor
Worth Sports joined Pitch In For Baseball as a major corporate sponsor. Worth's sizeable donation of new baseball and softball bats this past spring have been incredibly valuable in Pitch In For Baseball's ability to support the needs of many recipient communities.

Spalding
Baseball Donation
Spalding has joined the list of equipment manufacturers supporting the work of Pitch In For Baseball. Their donation of new baseballs was quite well received by the coaches and players in Tickfaw, Louisiana a community just outside of New Orleans.

Our First Home Run
Training Center in Kutno, Poland
In 2001, Little League baseball opened its first European youth baseball training center in Kutno, Poland. This excellent facility is called the European Leadership and Training Center and one Pitch In For Baseball board member, Bill Piszek, and his family were instrumental in bringing that dream to a reality. The success in Kutno is the inspiration for the concept of Pitch In For Baseball. Working with a limited budget during those first couple years, Bill led an effort to collect gloves for the youngsters in Poland. To date, Bill's work has delivered over 1,500 gloves to young players in need. Amazingly, Poland qualified for the Little League World Series in Williamsport in 2003! This story shows how grass roots efforts like Pitch In For Baseball can improve the lives of children. The popularity of youth baseball is thriving in Poland and continues to grow every year throughout Europe thanks to efforts like Pitch In For Baseball.

Clemens Markets
Equipment Collection
A number of 2006 collection projects were undertaken. One of the most notable was our partnership with Clemens Markets. Along with their affiliated stores FoodSource and Save-A-Lot, Clemens began collecting baseball equipment for Pitch In For Baseball in March 2006. This program resulted in a wonderful contribution to our 2006 equipment inventory for kids in need.
